- All these things exist, they are frames of contextual perception. There is Fate we are bound by it it is that part of our unavoidably causation which we must accept to be at peace. There is Destiny...you must choose this, it is not absolute that you will achieve it. there is the Chaotic, these things have no cause and most prefer to think they don;t exist...they do. There is the Void the lack of all things including any conceptuality of nothingness, it doesn't exist because this is the only way it can exist, all paradox comes from there.

- I mean things which are final. This is a whole spectrum of potential, but fate is certain (deterministic) and Destiny is founded in choice (free will). both exist though. In my experience objectivity and external perception is primarily the domain of Fate, which internal, subjective perception is generally the domain of Destiny.
if someone wants to change their fate they have to turn inward to find their Destiny, and by dealing with that it is possible to change the nature of oneself and so to make new paths open to one in objective reality: to change their Fate. Ho ever the old fate is not rendered invalid...it remains, it simply doesn't carry as much sway as other Fates which have become accessible. - ReplySend message

- Let me clarify. When somone speeds, other people either subconsciously or consciously see it and might think ooh that's looks dangerous and adrenalin-pumping awsome. Then we mistake our driving skills and cause an accident. People would agree that no-one besides adrenalin maniacs think it's smart to drive really fast..

- But when people see police trailing a car, or just on the road, they slow down. If there are no police on the road, people think they can do whatever they want. Maybe not if they know there are cameras as opposed to nothing, but I feel like actual police presence is a lot more intimidating than a camera.

- You need to provide an alternative. You can't just say, "this system does not work, I don't like it find another". If you can catch a speeding lunatic with a walkie, I'd like to see it. If you don't like knives because they're unsafe, you have to find out some other way of cutting your vegetables or you live without them. Same here.
Either way, very few speeding incidences end in a high speed chase. Do we ticket the ones that stop and let the ones go that make a run for it? I'm sure that'd go over splendidly. - ReplySend message

There are ways to shorten the chases, like disabling the car( if it's equiped) Some police agencies actually have cannons that will fire a gps locator that will stick. Just think about it for a while, Police chases bad, criminals getting away with crimes worse.

Next in new cars they can't get anywhere cuz hotwiring doesnt work on new cars. so they'd have to haul the entire vehicle which is very hard to do and could easily be intercepted by a normal car at that speed.

We could call this distribution of votes as objective beauty. I guess objectve beauty exists - otherwise guys improving celebrities using photoshop wouldn't have anything to do. - You could define objectivity as contingent on human perception thereby stating that no matter what person smells this, they would be repulsed due to the makeup of the human body, but when you put constraints on objectivity it fails to be so. Obviously, the human body is not static and unchanging enough to start basing objectivity on also. I posit beauty is subjective.

- If that were the case, we'd all be in trouble. "Scientists find that Bon Jovi is the only objectively appealing music in the world and we're all just fooling ourselves."

- We are sensory being. We take sensory input and manipulate it depending on how we've learned and been conditioned to handle it. Quantitative reality and logical derivations can be objectively reasoned, complex qualitative reality cannot. Although something may be accepted as beautiful by 100% of the population, that does not make it objective. If someone is born down the line that dissents, the objectivity of said phenomena would fail to exist and objectivity is not contingent on sample size or agreement, but by definition independent of individual evaluation. If there are 3 coins on the table, there are objectively 3 coins on the table. No one seeing or touching the coins could come to another valid truth. A picture being beautiful is a complex qualitative judgment. There are things like sounds and smells that are attractive or unattractive to humans due to our composition, but that does not make the them objectively pleasant.

- There are coins obviously, but we cannot make claims without information. I can claim that there is objectively a dragon flying around the pentagon, but we can't see, hear, feel, taste, touch him and none of the equipment we currently have can sense his presence, but he is objectively there. Sensory input is not a prerequisite for objectivity, but for claims. Truth is objective and no matter what we claim, we cannot prove that we have truth because claims by definition are based on observable fact which is gathered by sensory input. Objective fact is an asymptote we can only assume through empirical observation. Epistemology is an angry beast indeed.
